Manneken Pis

Not far from the Grand Place is the statue of the little boy peeing, the Manneken Pis. The statue stands all of 61 cm and is made of bronze. It has become a city icon with tourists flocking to see this tiny statue. As you walk down from the Grand Place you know that you are getting nearer to the statue by the number of tourist shops lining the streets. Some of the many souvenirs are manneken pis chocolates and manneken pis cork screws which range in size from small to extra large, if you get my drift !

One of the creative ways this little statue gets press attention every now and then is when it is dressed in costume, so whenever there is a célébration, an anniversary or any excuse to dress this tiny fella, they do !
