Paris, A Trip To Remember

This August, I took the trip to Paris, France for ten days. After daydreaming about the city for as long as I can remember. And, what a memorable time it was. Trust me when I say, everything you have heard about Paris is true; It really is the the city of love and lights.

This is the definitive personal guide for you if you are planning a week to spend in Paris; a roundup of the best things to do in in the city will certainly keep you busy and take the effort out of planning your trip!

The Must-Do’s:

Eiffel Tower

Easily, the number one attraction that should be on the top of your Paris list. And since it is so popular, be sure to plan your visit well in advance. The world’s most visited monument requires a timed ticket for entry to the first, second, and top levels. It’s most helpful to take a small guided tour, as you can navigate the busy crowds and hear about the tower’s origins with a knowledgeable guide. I truly loved the view at sunset, though now I have visited, dinner at 58 Tour Eiffel or Le Jules Verne is now on my bucket list for next time!

Musée du Louvre

Anyone who visits this world-renowned site will need to make sure they have an entire day to explore. I visited on a rainy day, which was perfect, as the entire exhibition is indoors. Like the Eiffel Tower, lines are expected so buy your entry passes for Musee de Louvre in advance. It was a serene and educational experience wandering the many halls and seeing with my own eyes the works that are the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Liberty Leading the People. A must see for lovers and appreciators of art.
