A stroll through Dijon reveals a charming and well-preserved medieval town. The quaint alleys are lined by half-timbered houses that look like something out of a fairytale. The Saint-Bénigne Cathedral is a Gothic masterpiece.
The Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy contains remarkably well-preserved buildings from the 14th through 17th centuries. The Philippe le Bon Tower is a 15th-century watchtower offering some marvelous views for those who climb its 316 steps. The palace contains the exceptional Musée des Beaux-Arts.
There are some great fine-dining restaurants for a nice meal accompanied by wines from the region’s prestigious vineyards including Couchey, Brochon, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny.

DAY 2 Dijon

While Burgundy would already be famous if it had just given the world Dijon mustard and Flavigny anise, it also happens to be one of the premier winegrowing areas anywhere.
Your guide is a local wine expert eager to share his knowledge and passion for Burgundy’s exceptional wines and renowned vineyards.
Your driver will pick you up at your accommodation for a transfer to the regional vineyards. You’ll visit the village of Vosne-Romanée, follow the “Route des Grands Crus”, and see the renowned vineyards of the Côte de Nuits producing the world-famous Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musignym, and Romanée-Conti wines.
Stop in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin “The King of Burgundy Wines” before a
visit to a family-owned wine cellar boasting many old vintages.
Alternatively, you can follow the trail of the Cistercian monks at the Château du Clos de Vougeot. Learn about medieval wine-making and visit the monk’s cellar, constructed between the 12th and 16th centuries.
You have an opportunity to taste the Grands Vins de Bourgogne, including reds, whites, a Grand Cru, and some fine Pinot Noirs.

DAY 3 Dijon – Beaune

Beaune is Burgundy’s wine capital, but it has a lot more to offer. Don’t miss the wineries, the 12th-century Notre-Dame Basilica, and the Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune.
The former charitable almshouse was founded in 1443 and is a reference of Burgundian architecture with its enameled tile roofs. Today it is a museum with a rich selection of paintings, tapestries, and furniture.
DAY 4 Beaune

The region’s famous appellations include Pommard and the Golden Triangle of Burgundy’s Great White Wines: Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet. You’ll taste a selection of these at a private tasting in a local wineries.
Later by the Corton hillside, a unique location in Burgundy for red and white grands crus, you’ll sample elegant pinot noirs and unoaked white wines.
